Autumn @ the Arboretum

Bring the
entire family out for a day of fun at our annual celebration of fall
festival. Pumpkins, horse-drawn wagon rides, activities for the kids,
scarecrows, cider and more. Time:
10am-4pm

Rules and Entry Form |
Concept:
Teams have 60 minutes to completely assemble their scarecrow on site
at Klehm Arboretum. Scarecrows will remain on display at the arboretum
throughout the fall season.
Divisions:
Individuals/ Families: ($10 entry fee)
Groups/ Clubs ($20 entry fee)
Businesses ($50 entry fee)
Categories:
Traditional – Traditional, old fashioned or classic design
Humorous – Makes you smile, cartoon, comic book characters
“Green” – No made-made materials, organic materials only
Prizes will be awarded in each category, plus a People’s Choice Award.
Entry deadline is September 1, 2008.

Saturdays: 8am–11am
We’ve set aside the second Saturday of
each month to welcome the public to lend a hand in our gardens and
grounds. All tools provided. Your three hours of help really makes a
difference. May 10, June 14, July 12, August 12, September 13 and
October 11. |

June 14 through the summer - Master Gardeners Plant Clinic
Saturdays: Noon–3pm
Have a gardening or plant question?
Master Gardeners are the experts to turn to and they will be at Klehm
on Saturdays beginning June 14. |

June 16 through September 29 – Plant-a-Row Drop Off Site
Mondays: 9am–7pm
Klehm Arboretum is proud to be a
collection site for donations of fresh vegetables and fruits.
Donations benefit local pantries and soup kitchens. For more
