We are kicking off spring with Go Public Gardens Days, an initiative established by the American Public Gardens Association to enhance public gardens throughout the US. The week’s activities will include free daily admission, a Spring Smartphone Tour and Scavenger Hunt, assorted children’s activity kits, an educational webinar, and a ticketed Botanica presentation and workshop. 

  • Free Daily Admission: Admission is free Friday, May 7 through Friday, May 14. Klehm’s grounds and gardens will be open 9 am – 4 pm.
  • Spring Smartphone Tour & Scavenger Hunt: Discover the best that spring has to offer with Klehm’s self-guided smartphone tour! This tour features the many points of spring interest on Klehm’s grounds, but also engages guests with fun interactive trivia and quizzes. To access the tour, simply look for signage as you explore our trails, scan the QR codes on each sign with your smartphone, and you will be redirected to the tour.
  • Children’s Activity Kits: Two free children’s activity take home kits will be available in the Main Visitors Center Friday, May 7 through Friday, May 14, or while supplies last. More details to come.
  • Mini Meadows: Grow a Little Patch of Colorful Flowers Anywhere around Your Yard! Webinar: Learn how, with as little as 50 square feet and for less than $20, you can plant a colorful meadow in your own backyard! For more information and registration, visit www.klehm.org/mini-meadows.
