5:45 – 7:45 PM

Registration is closed.

The moon took over to bathe the land in a new light.

All who experienced it were forever changed.

What had been hidden, was revealed,

and nothing was ever the same again.

Watch the moon rise in the east at the very moment that the sun is setting in the west. Be bathed in early autumn color. Watch for the raccoons as they come out to explore. Join the birds as they settle in for the night. Smell the dampness of the forest floor as it rises up to greet you.

Wear footwear suitable for trail walking and dress appropriately for whatever the weather might bring. Bring a mask for those rare moments when physical distancing may be difficult. All ages are welcome with the understanding that this is a silent, meditative experience. Because this is an after hours program and the arboretum will be closed to the general public, please plan to arrive a few minutes early as the gates will close promptly at 5:45 PM. Group size will be limited, so register early to be sure to secure a spot!
