Tuesday, July 11th, 2017                                                                       6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Discover the transformative, restorative and healing powers of nature with this series of 1.5-hour silent walking meditations. Randy Zimmerman, retired psychologist, and experienced meditation practitioner and guide will lead a group walk designed to enhance mindfulness for wellness and self- care. Each walk will explore a small section of the arboretum using only the less-traveled, unpaved trails. Each journey will be to a different area.  A “self-guide” booklet will be given to each participant so that they may repeat the experience on their own at any time.

Dress appropriately for whatever the weather brings. Bring insect protection in summer. Participants may wish to bring a pen and journal as well. Registration is required, as the group size is limited to 15. This class is part of the Get Outside, Get Healthy! program sponsored by the Forest Preserves of Winnebago County.
