Join Jeff and Judy White, Master Gardeners with University of Illinois Extension, Winnebago County, as they share everything you need to know about starting your vegetable garden. They will talk about site selection and preparation, starting your garden, plant selection, garden problems and solutions, and everything through preserving your harvest. Jeff and Judy have been gardening together for 40 years in California, Nevada, Texas and Illinois. Jeff is involved in Community Gardens in Northern Illinois and Judy supports Plant a Row For the Hungry with Extension. They like to try new vegetable and fruit varieties in their garden and explore different methods of growing their garden although raised beds are their preferred method.
