University of Illinois Extension and Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden invite kids ages 9 to 13 to be Young Explorers this summer at Klehm Arboretum, 2715 S. Main St., Rockford.

Calling all Earth Heroes!

4-H Young Explorers will become Earth Heroes this summer at our fun, interactive and educational activities at Klehm Arboretum. The weekly sessions are led by U of I Extension staff with help from Master Naturalist and Klehm Arboretum volunteers.  All sessions will include a snack and time for free play.

Classes will meet on Tuesday mornings in July from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Klehm Arboretum, Clarcor Building, 2715 S. Main St. Rockford.

4-H Young Explorers may sign up for as few or as many sessions as you wish.  Each class costs $5.  Entrance into the Arboretum is included.

Young Explorers dates and topics include:

July 3 – Energy Explorers

July 10 – Health Heroes

July 24 – Guardians of the Garden!

July 31 – Planet Protectors

Parental involvement is encouraged but not required.  Drop-ins are welcome until class fills.  Preregistration is encouraged. Register Now or call the U of I Extension office at 815-986-4357.
