The soft light of the setting sun bathed the land in magic,

and all who experienced it were forever changed.

What had been hidden by the light, was now being revealed,

and nothing would ever be the same again.

Do you want to see more? Enter the darkness. Twilight is that liminal time that divides light from darkness; the seen from the unseen; the known from the unknown. Join in on this silent, meditative time in nature where twilight will offer the opportunity to see deeper into all things, and where you might find that state of knowing in which both light and shadow come forth and all things appear as one. Listen for the owls to speak. Join the birds as they settle for the night. Smell the dampness of the forest floor as it rises up to greet you.

Come out to Klehm for a guided walk through the woods that focuses on breathing, using your senses, meditation, and reflection. All ages are welcome with the understanding that this walk will be a silent, reflective experience. Wear footwear suitable for trail walking in the woods, and dress appropriately for whatever the weather might bring. You are welcome to bring trekking poles if you wish.

Because this is an after-hours program and the arboretum will be closed to the general public, please plan to arrive a few minutes early as the gates will close promptly at 7:00 PM. Group size will be limited, so register early to be sure to secure a spot!

Please note that this walk will take place as the sun is setting with small jar lights to help guide your way.

In the event of severe weather, check our website and Facebook for cancellation information. You will be notified of any changes via email and/or phone.

Pre-registration is required as space is limited.
