The Sounds of Creation Tranquility Walk

She offered this invitation to all, “Come, listen for the sounds of creation
as we walk, and pause, and sit in the forest this autumn evening.
Then listen for the sound behind the sounds.
The sound of the Source.
The sound of the Origin.
The sound of Presence.”

Raise the antennae of your heart on this evening’s silent stroll through the forest.
At every pause point, sink deeper into the quiet until you are straining to hear the
source of all sound – a sound that cannot be heard with the ears, but only with
the soul.

Wear footwear suitable for trail walking and dress appropriately for whatever the
weather might be. Bring a walking stick or poles if you have them. All ages are
welcome with the understanding that this is a silent, meditative experience.

Because this is an after hours program and the arboretum will be closed to the
general public, please plan to arrive a few minutes early as the gates will close
promptly at 6:00 PM.

Reserve your spot early. These walks tend to fill up quickly.

In the unlikely event of severe weather, a cancellation announcement will be
posted on our website and registered participants will be notified by email.
